European Economic Policy

The idea behind this blog is to collect observations on the state of the European economy, especially during the financial and economic crisis. Are we headed for a long recovery and when? Has the state returned for good like it did in the 1970s? What kinds of long-term consequences has the crisis had on public finances, pensions, unemployment, and international competitiveness? And most of all, will politicians regulate banks and securities markets more?
